    LESLIE MINASSIAN: FRAMER AND ARTIST
Leslie’s framing history goes back to her art school days when she began her own feeble attempts at framing her work. “I simply nailed strapping to the outer edges of my canvas because it was all I could afford at the time.” Leslie was a painting major at the Museum of Fine Arts School and has been a professional framer for over ten years. She has gained expertise by working at several frame shops and learning new skills. She loves working with art and combining her aesthetic sense with her practical ability. Leslie is conscientious and meticulous by nature and takes personal pride in her work. She takes exceptional care of the clienteles work, as if it were her own. All the aspects of framing require skilled craftsmanship and personal devotion.

    BEST PART OF THE JOB:
Admiring the finished product. Whether it be an original painting, drawing, photograph or memorabilia, seeing the finished product well designed and properly framed is very gratifying.

    CHALLENGES OF THE JOB:
Handling very large pieces of glass so that it doesn’t shatter all over me, and getting every last dust spec out from underneath the glass (especially on black mats). Only a very crazy person would scrutinize for dust specs the way I do.
